Awareness session on menstrual education and sustainable menstruation …

Today’s kids shape the tomorrow’s world..and those kids are shaped by moms with the essence of greatness..Today in AVVAI illangkathirgal,got to meet lovely moms and grandmoms who are keen in making a conscious choice in their life and society .
When I went perpared for a session, I was welcomed by an occasion with a flower rangoli.. pretty ladies , lunch (ya… gulab jamun 😍)..and my favorite book as a token of love..!!
The session was more as an interaction and could see them earnestly picking up each word of mine…

Lunar cycle and Tracking : Since time immemorial, we have been tracing sun and moon to track our lives.. The macrocosom that has galaxies in it has a speck called Sun .. a tiny blue thing( earth) going around it is taking a new turn today and we call it as a new year. Appreciating this vastness of cosmos and this cycle of rotation will be an ideal time to start tracking the changes in our body, a microcosom that in itself has all the wonders of the vast universe.. We are happy to put this lunar chart to help you track your cycles.. it could be to track your biological cycle, changes in your mind and hormones etc.. The patterns on pebbles that shows its infinite time with the perennial rivers, the multiple folds in the memory lanes are all same in recording the magic called ‘time’..hours, months, years and centuries … Let’s track them.. It’s not just a pad, we want to make menstrual talk as a common conversation and break the taboos that society associates with it. This shared knowledge will enpower women in making conscious choices in their life. With New year around, let’s take a new resolution to make this planet greener with less plastic footprints . A single women throws 130-150 kgs of menstrual waste in her lifetime which takes 500 – 800 years to decompose. switch to cloth pads and prevent the 150 kgs getting into the landfills.. Change starts from you.. within you.. Happy bleeding!! Ps :Those who tried our pads, please fill our customer feedback form to help us know where we need to improve..
